Monday, May 19, 2008 - Great British Menu Cookery Demonstration
Join ‘Celebrity Chef’ Elisha Carter for a culinary masterclass featuring dishes he created for the BBC’s Great British Menu.

Arrive at 10.30am for Tea, coffee & fruit smoothies giving you the chance to meet Elisha before the class begins.

Elisha will be creating two of the dishes featured in the BBC programme before your eyes. After the masterclass you will have the opportunity to try the dishes in the restaurant accompanied by a glass of wine, which we have selected to compliment the dishes.

Each Great British Menu demonstration will feature different dishes so you can attend all three if you wish!

Tuesday, May 20, 2008 - Great British Bakery with Elisha Carter
Do you dream of making your own bread or baking cakes for your friends, we have just the man to give you guidance, Head Chef Elisha Carter.

Your day will begin at 8.00am with a energising smoothie to wake you up an introduction to our Organic Spelt flour grown and milled at Roger and Monty’s Sharpham Park Farm .

Elisha will take you through step by step how to make spelt bread, carrot cake, walnut & ginger cake. You will also be shown how to make your mid morning snack… spelt doughnuts!

After a busy morning in the kitchen rest your feet while sitting down to a two course lunch and a glass of wine.

So you can practise your new found talents, we will provide you with a bag on spelt flour and the days recipes to take home with you.

£50.00 per person

If you wish to stay over the night before we are offering a special rate of £230.00 dinner, bed & breakfast, per room per night, based on two people sharing.

Sharpham Park

All the animals on Roger & Monty’s nearby farm are raised as organic, grazing on the rich pastures of the Somerset Levels and in the harsh winter months their diets are supplemented with beans and spelt. For a limited time only, we would like to offer the friends of Charlton House a £5 per kilo reduction on boned and rolled legs of hogget, from our rare breed stock of Hebridean and Manx Loghtan sheep, which are grown to around 16 months and then hung for a fuller flavour.

Elisha recommends slow cooking the joint with thyme and garlic for four or five hours at 80°C for absolute perfection:

Sharpham Park has developed an absolutely scrumptious range of wheat free sausages from our rare breed meat and organic spelt. Choose from:
Venison with stilton and cranberry
Lamb with garlic and rosemary
Lamb with apricot and coriander
White Park Beef with Horseradish
