Functions at Charlton House

Charlton House Hotel & Spa is the ideal choice for any celebration. From intimate groups of 8 to large events of a maximum of 150 guests.

Our Orangery is an amazingly Versatile space that can be booked as a whole or divided into two smaller sections (The Boardroom/Garden Room) with a soundproof wall.
Your guests will have their own private entrance to the space with access straight into our bright foyer, basking in natural light showering down from the skylights.

Decorated in an 18th-century style, the grand windows of The Orangery provide vast amounts of natural light and views of our Gardens. The doors of The Orangery open directly onto a private terrace, which could be used for any Drinks Reception (weather permitting). In this private wing of the hotel the function space has its own bar and toilets. The room itself is also fully air-conditioned with access to complimentary Wi-Fi.

From a small meeting of 4 people to a full theatre-style presentation for 80 we have all the equipment on-site to make this a comfortable and productive space for your delegates. Either Screen & Projector or Plasma TV, Flipcharts & Stationery, just let us know what you need.

The Foyer can be used as a Break-Out space and to serve the all-important teas & coffees.  


Celebrating a special occasion and want to invite all your friends and family but without the formality of a sit-down dinner? We can host a luxurious Drinks Reception and circulate canapes to your guests as they mix and mingle. 


Birthdays, Engagement, Graduation, any special occasion calls for a private space to celebrate. With round tables that seat up to 10 guests on each, The Orangery will make you feel like royalty on your special day. 

Sample Menus are available and can be tailored to guest preferences and we can of course cater for all dietary requirements. 


On the private Terrace right outside the Orangery and surrounded by beautiful stone brickwork, we can offer a completely different dining experience. Seasonal dishes that are suitable for outdoor dining will be offered in a relaxed environment. 

Add a Jazz Trio or other music of your choosing and you can really go above and beyond for your guests. 


We cater for any type of Baby event, including christenings, naming ceremonies and baby showers. Usually, a Buffet or Afternoon Tea Menu is most appropriate for these occasions but we can be completely flexible and create a menu to suit your requirements.


We understand that organising a Wake can add to the stress of losing a loved one. Let us take care of all the arrangements for you. Providing a sympathetic, discreet and efficient service for the bereaved family at this difficult time, with the added privacy by being away from other hotel guests. 

As with this type of occasion, a date isn’t always known at the time of enquiry but we pride ourselves on being flexible and being able to pull it together very quickly. 


From corporate parties to charity auctions, our Orangery can accommodate up to a maximum of 80 guests for a sit-down meal, 150 guests for a buffet and up to 150 guests in the evening for dancing and drinks.
