If walls could talk.
A Fine Building
Scratch the Regency surface of our historic country house and you've got something quite out of the ordinary. A Tudor estate with several characterful Victorian elements and an architectural heart described variously as late Elizabethan and early Jacobean, Charlton is not the product of any one period. Idiosyncratic, it has a certain magnetism which compels guests to return time and again.
An Historic Hotel
Charlton has greeted many a guest in the decades following its conversion from a family home in the 1960s: the King of Thailand often graced its oak floorboards, as did the Duke of Edinburgh. But the history of this building is no less tied up with its proprietors. The visionary behind Mulberry left a proud legacy. KOP Group's luxury hotel experts are now working to take it to even greater heights.
