Travel by Train
If you can make your way to London Paddington, Bristol Temple Meads, or Exeter St. David's, then you can get to us. Just a couple of miles from the octopodal Great Western Railway, our hotel is not short on connections: you can get here from London in an hour and a half. Now that we offer Mercedes-AMG private transfers from Castle Cary, train travel is comfortable and convenient, too.
Travel by Road
We're proud to occupy an enviable position at the beating heart of Somerset. If the sun's out and you're in the mood for a spot of exercise, you can make a picturesque detour from the eighty-mile South Somerset Cycleway to get to us. If not, you can key in our postcode - BA4 4PR - into your map app and arrive by car. Follow the River Sheppey out of Shepton and you'll be with us in no time.

Pet Policy
We're pleased to offer your four-legged friends the chance to stay at our country house hotel. You're now welcome to bring a small dog or guide dog into our lounge area, but that's not all. Several of our rooms have done away with restrictions, too, allowing you to enjoy a weekend shooting or walking in the Somerset countryside with your pet. We'll even supply beds, bowls, treats, and towels.
Step-Free Access
We're working tirelessly to ensure disabled access to all public areas of our hotel. We've installed a lift, providing step-free access to both the Orangery and TIIGO BBQ & Grill. We've trained our team to support guests with reduced mobility. And we've resolved to permit guide dogs and emotional support animals throughout the premises. Further to this, rooms 12 and 22 are now fully accessible.
House rules.
Zero Tolerance
Montigo Resorts, Somerset stands together against violent, threatening, and abusive behaviour. Should anyone subject our staff to verbal, sexual, racial, or physical abuse or discrimination we will take actions which could result in a criminal record. We document, video-record, and report all hate crime as doing so can help build a profile of the perpetrator and prevent it from arising again.
Spa Rules
At Montigo Spa your safety and security is our number one concern. To ensure that each and every guest has a restful and enjoyable experience we have introduced a number of house rules, consistent with those at other resorts around the world. Keep the noise down. Dress appropriately for a public context. And please, do let us know of any allergies, sensitivities, or underlying health conditions.

Essential Facilities
No matter whether you're visiting for an afternoon or an entire week: we have all the essential facilities you need for an enjoyable stay. You can connect to 'Montigo Resorts Free WiFi' wherever you are. We have lockers and safes on-site for you to store your possessions. And there are accessible toilets and baby changing facilities well-distributed across the site, suitable for people of all genders and none.
Cashless Payments
We're working to improve the efficiency of our systems to deliver a better quality of service, and mitigate our impact on the environment. Heeding the advice of Britain's best sustainability thinktanks we've scrapped logistics-intensive cash payments and we've stopped printing receipts, only for them to end up in the litter bin. Let us know if you'd like to add a gratuity or remove the service charge.
